42 students, teacher tested positive for Covid 19 in Muttangi Gurukul School in Sangareddy district
Covid-19 has been detected in 42 students and one teacher at a government-run residential school for girls in Telangana's Sangareddy district. The incidents occurred at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Gurukul school in Muthangi village, Sangareddy district, roughly 50 kilometres from Hyderabad.
On Sunday, Covid tests were administered to 261 of the school's 491 students. Infected students numbered 42 in total. Students who tested positive had their samples sent to Hyderabad for genetic sequencing. According to the official, the afflicted pupils were held in isolation in the school's hostel and were all stable.
