PM Modi inaugurates Noida Airport, will be Asia's biggest
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Noida International Airport in Jewar on Thursday. This international airport will be Asia's largest and the world's fourth largest. With the addition of this airport, Uttar Pradesh would become India's first state to have five international airports.
Flight services will begin from this airport in the following three years, by 2024, and around 1.2 crore passengers would be able to fly from here each year. This would assist millions of people in western Uttar Pradesh and help provide jobs for many.
The first phase of the Noida International Airport is being built at a cost of more than Rs 10,050 crore.
