NCB officer Sameer Wankhede reacts to removal from Aryan Khan drugs case
NCB has transferred the drugs-on-cruise case from the Mumbai team to their Delhi counterparts. The case also involves actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, who was granted bail a week ago. The move came amid allegations of extortion against NCB Mumbai zone director Sameer Wankhede.
However, Wankhede said it was his writ petition that the matter be probed by a central team. He further stated that he was not removed from the Aryan Khan case. Later, the NCB confirmed that no officer or officers were removed from their present roles. It added that they would continue to assist their operations as and when required. A team from Delhi NCB will now camp in Mumbai to take probe in the case forward.
