BCCI announces two new teams for IPL 2022- Details inside
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced the names of two teams that found place in the upcoming 2022 IPL event. It has announced that RPSG Ventures Ltd. and Irelia Company Pte Ltd. (CVC Capital Partners) have won the bids for their respective teams to exercise the ownership rights of Lucknow and Ahmedabad teams respectively in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
For Lucknow, the winning bid was Rs 7,090 crore and for Ahmedabad, it was a bid of Rs 5,625 crore. The IPL 2022 season will now comprise ten teams. BCCI has thus earned Rs 12690 crore from the two new teams.
