Aryan Khan case turns political, complaint against Mufti for inciting ‘communal’ twist
A police complaint was recently filed against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti in connection with her recent comments in the Aryan Khan narcotics case. She claimed on Twitter that Aryan was singled out in the Mumbai cruise narcotics case because of his surname.
According to reports, the Delhi police lodged a FIR against Mehbooba based on a complaint made by a Delhi-based lawyer for attempting to generate hatred amongst groups. Mufti slammed the BJP in a tweet, writing, “Instead of making an example of a Union Minister's son guilty of killing four farmers, central agencies are pursuing a 23-year-old just because his surname happens to be Khan.”
