CM MK Stalin to convert Jayalalithaa helicopter to air ambulance
MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has made an important decision. He has planned to convert former state Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's chopper into an air ambulance. The Tamil Health Department has been making arrangements for this, it is learned.
The government of then-Chief Minister Jayalalithaa purchased a helicopter in 2006. It was created in preparation for Jayalalithaa's travels as Chief Minister. It includes everything needed to go with the Chief Minister and 14 people.
The subsequent DMK administration did not make much use of this helicopter. It is expected to be utilised as an air ambulance for emergency medical services very soon, according to sources.
