Chhattisgarh CM has his 86-year-old father arrested, sent to judicial custody till Sept 21
The police arrested Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel's father Nand Kumar Baghel for allegedly making derogatory comments against a Brahmin community. He said that Brahmins are suppressing OBCs. Earlier, a case was registered against him and he was produced in a Raipur court.
Nand Baghel was sent to 15-day judicial custody. He will remain in custody till September 21 as he did not apply for bail. Responding to his father’s arrest, the CM said that all are equal before law. His hate speech went viral on social media. Arrest of CM’s father has become sensation in Chhattisgarh state.
