Taliban appoints FBI wanted terrorist Sirajuddin Haqqani as Afghanistan interior minister
FBI designated global terrorist Sirajuddin Haqqani has been appointed as the Interior Minister of Afghanistan, under the new Taliban government. A senior leader of the Haqqani Network, Sirajuddin is included in the FBI’s most-wanted list with a $5 million bounty on his head.
While Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund named as the new interim prime minister. He has been chief of the Taliban's decision-making body Rehbari Shura for around 2 decades. Akhund, a lesser-known face had served as deputy foreign minister from 1996 to 2001. Abdul Ghani will be the deputy prime minister.
