TTD resumes free Sarva-Darshanam from today
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to restart the issuing of Sarvadarshanam tickets on a trial basis starting Wednesday. The ordinary man's longing for the sight of Lord Venkateshwara has come to an end with this. According to sources, the quota is restricted to 2,000 tokens each day and will first be distributed exclusively to inhabitants of Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh, which is home to the famous Hindu temple. The TTD is likely to extend increased quantity of tokens to devotees of other areas as well in the coming days.
Tirupati temple authorities stopped distributing free darshan tickets/tokens in mid-April, due to alarming increase in Covid-19 cases.
