BCCI slams Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri for attending Book launch in London
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has raised concerns after India coach Ravi Shastri became infected with the Coronavirus while in London. The BCCI seems to be upset with India captain Virat Kohli and his coach for visiting a congested area earlier this month.
According to the report, the duo shared the stage during the event without the permission of BCCI. The board is embarrassed as a result of this incident. Following the fourth Test at the Oval, the coach and captain will be asked to explain the situation. According to sources, the BCCI is in contact with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and is working to ensure that the series is concluded without incident.
Meanwhile, India defeated England by 157 runs at The Oval to grab a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series. The final Test will be contested at Old Trafford on September 10.
