Allow Covishield second dose after 4 weeks, Kerala High Court directs Centre
The Kerala High Court has directed the Central government to allow a second dosage of Covishield after a four-week interval rather than a 12-week gap. The decision comes as Kerala is still dealing with a rampant second wave of illnesses. The Centre was also urged to modify the CoWIN app to provide for a smaller dosage gap for those who desire it.
However, the order is for vaccines obtained from private sources rather than free injections provided by the government. Is it time for India to examine the dosage disparity as well?
