Seven IAS officers appear before Andhra Pradesh High Court
Seven IAS officers on Tuesday appeared before the Andhra Pradesh High Court over a petition filed opposing construction of village/ward secretariats and Rythu Bharosa Kendras in playgrounds of government schools. They are Gopal Krishna Dwivedi, Girija Shankar, B Rajasekhar, V Chinaveerabhadrudu, Shyamala Rao, Vijay Kumar, and MM Nayak.
In the affidavit submitted to the High Court, the AP government informed that secretariats and Rythu Bharosa Kendras have been constructed in 1,160 locations across the state. On the High Court directions, the state government shifted 450 secretariats and Rythu Bharosa Kendras to other locations. The court directed the AP government to shift remaining in the next four weeks and adjourned the hearing to October 1.
