Minister Avanthi Srinivas slams TDP leaders opposing Visakha as the executive capital
The TDP has begun holding discussions under the banner of Uttarandhra Rakshana Charcha Vedika. In response, AP Minister Avanthi Srinivas said that the state government decided to make Visakha the state's executive capital. According to the minister, there is no political purpose behind it. Avanthi Srinivas said that North Andhra, particularly Visakhapatnam, has provided significant resources to the state's population as well as 5-6 lakhs of people from neighbouring states. The AP Minister said that they intended to make Visakhapatnam, with a population of 26 lakhs, the executive capital since it has all the resources such as two ports, a railway junction, an international airport, as well as rail and route connections. Minister Avanthi demanded that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu explain if he favours Visakhapatnam as the executive capital.
