Ration cardholders rush for e-KYC registration at Aadhaar centres across AP
As the state government has imposed August 31 as deadline for e-KYC enrolment of all ration cardholders, women have rushed to the Aadhaar centres all over Andhra Pradesh. There are 1.48 crore ration cards in the state out of which 35 lakhs have to complete e-KYC registration. The Central government has made it e-KYC registration compulsory for all ration cardholders.
The police personnel posted at Aadhaar centres are facing difficulties to regulate women. In Kadapa district at Proddatur, policemen behaved harshly with women standing in a queue in front of an Aadhaar centre.
