In an interview with a Pakistani news channel, Taliban’s spokesperson Suhail Shaheen clarified its stand on India. When asked whether Taliban wants friendly relations with India, Shaheen said that India can complete its infrastructure projects in Afghanistan but the Taliban won’t allow any country to use Afghan soil against any other country.
This is being considered as Taliban’s first official remarks after a complete takeover of power in Afghanistan. India currently has incomplete infrastructure and reconstruction projects in Afghanistan. New Delhi yet to take any call on the recognition of the new dispensation in Kabul.
