YSRCP supported Amaravati during 2019 elections: MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju
Showing a newspaper clip published in the Sakshi vernacular daily, YSRCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju on Friday claimed that the YSRCP had spoken in support of Amaravati as capital of divided Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to a news channel, he stated that the Jagan party had extended its support to Amaravati during 2019 elections. He read out the names, who were present in the press meet, from the newspaper clip.
However, the YSRCP government passed the three capitals bill in Legislative Assembly and the same was approved by the Governor in August 2020.
