Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul break 69-year-old record for India at Lord's in 2nd Test
With their 126-run partnership in the current second Test against England at Lord's Cricket Ground, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul shattered a 69-year-old Test record for India. Rahul held the crease from one end while Rohit was the aggressor. For the first time since 1952, the pair put up India's first 100-run stand at Lord's. Rohit Sharma came up just 17 runs short of a well-deserved century for India.
The previous highest opening partnership by openers was 114 runs by England's Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss against South Africa in 2008.
