BCCI sets new protocols in place; Balls hit for six to be replaced, sanitised
The BCCI has established new procedures for the last season of the IPL 2021, which will take place in the UAE on September 19, 2021. According to the BCCI circular, the balls struck for a six shall be replaced and sanitised by the fourth umpire. According to the latest studies, balls have a minimal chance of transmitting COVID-19 infection. As a result, the BCCI has adopted this procedure to eliminate any possibility of mistake. All teams have received the health and safety guidelines in advance of the IPL 2021. The players and support personnel will be isolated for six days and must pass three negative tests.
