Tribute to the golden boy of India - Neeraj Chopra
Neeraj Chopra did extraordinary by winning first athletics gold for India at the Tokyo Olympics. He stood on top in the men's javelin throw event with a throw of 87.58m. The feeling of winning an Olympics Gold still hasn’t sunk in for most of the Indians.
The wait for this one has been over a century long. In 1960 Rome Olympics, late Milkha Singh had finished fourth in a six-man 400m final while PT Usha became the first Indian woman to qualify for the finals of the Olympics track and field. Entire nation is grateful to the golden boy of India, Neeraj Chopra, for winning first athletics gold at the Olympics.
