Slept with Medal near my pillow: Neeraj Chopra to NDTV on Olympic win
India has been celebrating the Gold winning moments of Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra in the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj Chopra told NDTV that he slept well on Saturday night after winning Gold at the Tokyo Olympics. 'Hard effort has paid off,' said the 23-year-old javeline thrower. Chopra said that he slept with the gold medal beside his pillow for companionship. He said that the time difference made it difficult for him to sleep for the first few days. On Saturday night, though, he had no such issues, sleeping well with the gold medal for company.
It felt different near the podium since our national song was playing at the Olympic stadium. Chopra said, "I can't put such emotions into words."
