AP govt to reward PV Sindhu with Rs 30 lakh cash prize
The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to give cash reward of Rs 30 lakh for Indian shuttler PV Sindhu for winning a bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics. She created history as she is the first Indian woman and only the second Indian to win two individual medals at Olympic Games.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has instructed officials on Monday to reward Sindhu with cash prize as per the AP government’s sports policy. To improve talent in the state, the YSRCP government had allotted two acres of land for Sindhu to set up a badminton academy at Visakhapatnam.
