Covid vaccination for kids likely to start from next month: Health Minister to BJP MPs
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was informed this morning during a gathering of BJP MPs in the Parliament about the Covid vaccine for children. According to reports, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said during a meeting of the BJP's parliamentary party that the Central government will likely begin vaccinating children from next month onwards.
Earlier this month, the Centre informed the Delhi High Court that Covid-19 vaccination may be available shortly for youngsters aged 12 to 18. The Drug Controller General of India has already granted Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of Covaxin, permission to undertake clinical vaccination studies for children aged 2 to 18.
