Tokyo Olympics: Sania Mirza, Ankita Raina knocked out in women's doubles tennis event
Ukranian twins Nadiia and Liudmyla Kichenok knocked off Indian players Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina in the opening round of women's doubles at the Tokyo Olympics. Sania and Ankita had won the first set by defending their opponents to love and were ahead 5-2 in the second set before losing the match 6-0, 6-7, 7-6. (8-10). They subsequently failed to score a point in the second set tie-breaker. The Ukrainians raced out to an 8-0 lead but Indian women pair came back to tie the game at 8-8. They ultimately lost the tie-breaker 10-8.
