Rajya Sabha: YSRCP MPs move motions on Polavaram, MP’s disqualification
YSRCP MPs Vijayasai Reddy and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy on Friday moved adjournment motions in the Rajya Sabha requesting Venkaiah Naidu, chairman of the Upper House, to allow discussion on revised estimates of the Polavaram Project and disqualification of YSRCP rebel MP K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. The motions were moved under the Rule 267.
However, Venkaiah has refused to take up discussion on both issues as the House is discussing the Covid-19 pandemic and its adverse effects on nation and other important subjects concerning national interests. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2:30 pm amid uproar from opposition.
