If Pegasus row is partially true then it is alarming: United Nations Human Rights Council
If the use of Pegasus spyware is even partially true then a red line has been crossed, said the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). The Pegasus spyware was used to hack phones of politicians and activists, said a report quoting an investigation by a group of 17 global media organisations. Phones of top journalists working for big media houses were also hacked.
The Central government said in its response that no unauthorised interception has taken place and that the report is not only “bereft of facts” but also founded in pre-conceived conclusions.
