TPCC chief Revanth Reddy placed under house arrest
Hyderabad: A tense situation prevailed while police placing TPCC president Revanth Reddy under house arrest at 3 am on Monday. The reason for putting him under house arrest was to prevent him and Telangana Congress leaders from visiting auctioned lands in Kokapet and stage a protest against the auction.
The police cordoned off the roads leading to the TPCC chief’s residence in Jubilee Hills here. Revanth had alleged that a Rs 1,000 crore scam took place in the auction of Kokapet lands. He also decided to file a complaint to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah against Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.
