Telangana govt earns Rs 2,000 crore in e-auction of Kokapet lands
Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Thursday earned Rs 2000.37 crore in the e-auction of Kokapet lands. It is known that the state High Court refused to give stay orders on the government's decision to sell the lands in Kokapet.
Amid tight security, the mega e-auctioning of eight prime plots of 49.92 acres in Kokapet started at 9 am on Thursday at HMDA head office and the auction continued till 5 pm. The state government fixed Rs 25 crore per acre and the minimum bid increment was Rs 20 lakh per acre. It is learnt that the plot size ranged from one acre to 8.94 acres.
