PM Modi opens Rudraksh convention centre in Varanasi, plants sapling
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited his parliamentary constituency on Thursday and launched the Varanasi International Cooperation and Convention Centre (VICCC), which was constructed with Japanese help. On its grounds, the PM planted a Rudraksh sapling. Modi was accompanied by UP Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi and Governor Anandiben Patel.
The VICCC was given the name ‘Rudraksh’ in honour of the historic city’s connection to Lord Shiva. According to reports, the two-storey conference centre has a seating capacity of 1,200 persons. Ahead of assembly elections in UP, Modi will likely build qualitative infrastructure in Varanasi.
