Telangana Cabinet nod to food processing, logistic policies
Hyderabad: The Cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave a green signal to the new food processing policy for setting up 10 food processing zones across the state in the first phase.
According to the reports, the Telangana government will establish food processing units in 10,000 acres by 2024-25 amid increasing food production in the state. It will encourage farmers to take up oil palm cultivation in 20 lakh acres. The Cabinet also gave a nod to logistics policy with a focus on paddy storage. In this direction, more rice and parboiled mills will be set up in the state.
