AP govt files petition in Supreme Court over Krishna water dispute
The Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Telangana government claiming that latter is depriving its rightful share in Krishna water by generating 100 per cent hydel power in violation of the KRMB protocols.
In the plea, the AP government urged the apex court to give directions to the Central government for notifying the jurisdiction of the Krishna Board and take operation control of interstate irrigation projects. It also requested the top court to cancel the G.O. released by the Telangana government on June 28.
