MP Vijayasai meets Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks GST exemption for TTD
New Delhi: YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday in New Delhi and sought GST exemption for all services rendered by the TTD to devotees. He informed her that the TTD is paying GST over Rs 120 crore every year.
In a tweet, the MP said that he requested the Centre to expedite the renewal of TTD’s FCRA application for receiving donations from NRI pilgrims. He also brought to union minister’s notice to declare Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (VMRDA) as charitable organisation and asked to refund Rs 120 crore with interest to the VMRDA paid for the Income Tax Department.
