KRMB asks AP govt to halt Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project works
Hyderabad: Responding to the Telangana government’s complaint over Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project (RLIP) works, the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) member RK Meena wrote a letter to the Andhra Pradesh government asking to stop the RLIP works. He informed AP to continue RLIP works only after receiving nod for DPR.
In the letter, he mentioned that the NGT has ordered the AP in February to stop the works of the project. The NGT directed the KRMB to review and submit the details of the RLIP. The AP government reportedly is not allowing the KRMB to inspect RLIP.
