Telangana ministers request Centre to get UNESCO heritage tag for Ramappa temple
New Delhi: The Telangana government fastened its efforts to bring the UNESCO heritage tag to the historical Ramappa temple. Ministers Srinivas Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Satyavathi Rathod; MPs Banda Prakash and Dayakar; MLC Pochampalli Srinivas and other leaders met Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Singh Patel and handed over a memorandum seeking to include Ramappa in the UNESCO heritage list.
They also requested the union minister to declare tribal fair Medaram as national festival. Speaking to the media, ministers said that Union Minister Prahlad Singh assured them to get the UNESCO tag to Ramappa.
