AP High Court asks government to submit detailed financial report of the state
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday asked the state finance and panchayat raj chief secretaries to submit the detailed report regarding the state financial position. The HC heard the two different petitions filed by CK Erram Reddy, resident of Chittoor and R Srinivas Rao, resident of East Godavari against the state government for not clearing the pending dues for the works completed in 2018 and 2019 under MGNREGS. The state government's advocate told to the court that due to insufficient funds they failed to clear the pending due of petitioners.
The Court expressed dismay over his statements and raised questions over the state's financial situation. The Court further questioned who will come forward to construct three capitals if the government fails to clear the bills.
