AstraZeneca Covid vaccine should be halted for over-60s: EMA alerts
Following concerns about unusual blood clots and the availability of additional vaccinations, the chairman of the EU pharmaceuticals regulator's Covid-19 task group said on Sunday that nations should refrain from administering the Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccination to anyone over the age of 60.
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has determined that the Astrazeneca injection is safe for people of all ages. However, some European Union member states have ceased providing medication to persons under a particular age, often between the ages of 50 and 65. France and Germany have already started implementing the decision.
