19 govt diagnostic centres in district hospitals will be opened from Monday: KCR
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday instructed officials of the Medical and Health Department to start 19 diagnostic centres at district headquarter hospitals from Monday onwards. KCR said that his government is opening diagnostic centres as poor and weaker sections were unable to meet the expenditure of lab tests.
About 57 types of tests will be performed free of cost at diagnostic centres. “Lab tests have become costly compared to surgery cost,” the CM mentioned. Diagnostic centres to come up at Sangareddy, Medak, Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Siddipet, and other district hospitals.
