South-west monsoon hits Kerala after two days of delay
Kerala: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that the south-west monsoon made an onset over Kerala after two days of delay. The IMD said that the nation will receive normal to above normal rainfall this year between June to September.
The 2021 monsoon will be the third consecutive year to witness good rainfall and will lead to good food grain output. The south-west monsoon reached the southern parts of Kerala, said IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra. This year, south-west monsoon was predicted on June 1 but it delayed for two days.
