CM KCR extends lockdown till May 30
The Telangana government on Tuesday has extended the lockdown period till May 30. According to the earlier government notification, the ongoing lockdown started on May 12 and was supposed to end by May 22.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao spoke to ministers over phone and took their opinions before taking a decision on extending the lockdown. The CM instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to issue a G.O on lockdown extension. The CM reportedly cancelled the Cabinet meeting scheduled on May 20 as the ministers are busy monitoring COVID-19 pandemic curtailment measures at the field level.
