Twitter donates 15 million US dollars for covid relief in India
India is struggling hard to combat the unprecedented coronavirus second wave and many countries are extending their helping hand towards the nation during the crisis. Microblogging platform Twitter donated 15 million US dollars to three non-governmental institutions─Aid India, Care, and Sewa International USA─in the country to fight against the pandemic.
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said that Aid India and Sewa International have received 2.5 million US dollars each and 10 million US dollars donated to Care. He tweeted, “$15 million split between @CARE, @AIDINDIA, and @sewausa to help address the Covid-19 crisis in India.” Earlier, South Korea's Samsung also announced a $5 million aid to India to fight against coronavirus.
