Telangana allows entry of ambulances coming from Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Tuesday allowed the entry of ambulances carrying covid patients from Andhra Pradesh into the state. On Monday, the Telangana police stopped ambulances arriving from AP at inter-state borders despite no orders from higher officials. Kin of critically-ill patients were seen requesting the cops to give way for ambulances considering the medical emergency.
According to reports, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed police officials not to restrict the movement of ambulances between two Telugu states. Many alleged that police did not allow ambulances into Telangana even after showing the bed availability confirmation reports from hospitals.
