Changing toothbrush after COVID-19 recovery, here’s why it’s important
India has been witnessing a record number of corona cases daily. Amid the surge in cases in the second wave, the experts have suggested being careful with recovered covid 19 persons as there is a threat for infection from them. They have stressed the need to maintain good oral hygiene.
In January, the researchers from Brazil had suggested disinfecting toothbrushes and oral hygiene instruments from the covid 19 patients to keep the COVID-19 virus at bay. They have claimed that toothbrushes can act as reservoirs for microorganisms. The study was published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
