Shortage of beds in Kakinada GGH, Rajahmundry District Hospital
Positive tested are waiting outside of the Government General Hospital in Kakinada and Rajahmundry District Hospital because of shortage of beds. At present, 15,000 cases are active in the East Godavari district and ten people infected with disease are dying on an average every day.
To accommodate more positive patients, beds were arranged in the corridors of the government hospital in Rajahmundry. District Collector Muralidhar Reddy has directed the officials to explore the option of setting up the covid centre at a marriage function hall to provide additional beds to corona patients.
