Delhi govt seeks army help to fight Covid-19, HC seeks Centre’s stand
New Delhi: It is known that the Delhi government on May 1 seek assistance from the Army to set up field hospitals. On Sunday, the Delhi government wrote a letter to the Defence Minister and asked the cryogenic tankers to transport liquid medical oxygen. The government further requested the ministry's help in providing medical oxygen cylinders and to render medical and para-medical teams.
The Delhi High Court directed the Centre to appraise its decision about the request sent by deputy CM Manish Sisodia to Union Minister Rajnath Singh to provide about 10,000 oxygen and 1,000 ICU beds.
