No Lockdown, ban gatherings to control Coronavirus: Lancet India Task Force

NEW DELHI: Amid a surge in Covid-19 positive cases across the nation, many suggested India to impose a lockdown to contain the virus. But, it will show an adverse impact on poor people and many other sectors in the nations. The Lancet India Task Force suggested some measures to curb the virus instead of imposing lockdown.

The Lancet suggested a containment measures checklist. The Lancet India Task Force panel recommended that all steps should consider keeping the economic consequences before taking measures. The panel suggested asked to impose a ban on gatherings with people more than 10 people. It asked the governments to impose strict containment zones where the cases reporting high.
