Supreme Court asks Centre to consider on imposing lockdown
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Sunday directed the Centre to consider imposing lockdown across the nation to contain the virus from further spreading. The apex court asked the Central and State government to consider imposing a ban on gathering and events which turns into super spreaders. The Court said that the Centre should consider imposing lockdown considering the welfare of the public.
The SC said that the lockdown will show its impact on poor people and other sections. The Court asked the Centre to take measures for marginalized communities before imposing lockdown. The Court made these statements amid increasing COVID cases and more than 4 lakh cases are reporting in the nation.
