TTD revives tradition of organic food
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced the old tradition of preparing Srivari Naivedyam with organic ingredients, including organic rice, vegetables, pulses, jaggery, desi cow ghee and other ingredients. The decision to prepare Srivari Naivedyam, Laddu Prasadam and Anna Prasadam with organic products by TTD received a good response from devotees.
According to the reports, the 100-year-old tradition is revived by TTD. TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy said it is going to be history in TTD. The report suggests that the TTD officials will procure organic products directly from farmers engaged in organic farming.
