When should Corona patients go for CT scan?
HYDERABAD: The results of COVID tests creating confusion among the people after there is a difference between antigen and RT-PCR tests. Questions raising among the people on which test they have to believe either antigen, RT-PCR or CT Scan. It is known that from the beginning onwards doctors opting for RT-PCR but in many cases RT-PCR not showing accurate results and therefore people opting for CT Scan to know the virus load in the body.
CT-Scan will show a load of infection in the lungs. People with symptoms but negative in RT-PCR tests should go for CT-Scan. It is said that one should go for CT Scan if the RT-PCR results tested negative but there is a continuous fever for seven days and a low oxygen level should undergo a CT scan.
