Supreme Court makes serious comments on Centre over corona crisis
The Supreme Court on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over the affidavit submitted by the Solicitor General of India as there was no detailed information regarding availability of oxygen and money spent towards procuring vaccine doses from manufacturing companies.
The bench headed by Y V Chandrachud questioned the Central government regarding different price slabs of Covishield and Covaxin for states and Centre. The apex court also sought details from the Centre about population aged between 18 and 44 and questioned as to why delay in administering vaccine doses to people. The bench asked the Solicitor General to submit another affidavit to the Supreme Court.
