Former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee passes away due to COVID-19
NEWDELHI: Former Attorney General of India Soli Jehangir Sorabjee took his last breath on Friday at the age of 91. According to the sources, he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital in South Delhi and passed away while undergoing treatment. Soli Sorabjee started his legal practice in 1953 in Bombay High Court.
He was appointed as senior counsel of the Supreme Court in 1971. He became the attorney general of India from 1989-90 and 1998-2004. Political party leaders and others conveyed their condolences to his family.
