RT-PCR test reports mandatory for candidates to enter counting centres: EC
NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India made RT-PCR test reports mandatory for candidates to enter the counting centres on results declaration day. It is known that the results of Assembly elections for West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry will be declared on 2nd May. The last phase of the elections in West Bengal will be held today. Elections were completed in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala.
The EC said that the counting agents in the counting hall shall be made in an order one agent should wear PPE and everyone should wear face masks, thermal screening is mandatory and they need to carry hand sanitisers. Earlier, the EC banned all victory processions on and after results declaration.
